Sam (she/they) works across Southeast Asian and Black youth and community in Charlotte, North Carolina. Sam is a child of Hmong refugees and was born in Oroville, California but grew up in Morganton, North Carolina. She later moved to Charlotte, where she studied International Studies and Women’s Gender Studies at UNC Charlotte. Post UNC Charlotte, she spent the last two years growing and learning with the SEAC Village transitioning through various roles as a fellow, Youth coordinator, and presently as a Youth Director. Sam also enjoys watching scary movies, eating pho, listening to podcasts, and spending time with family and friends!
