Dr. Kevin Foster

Dr. Kevin Foster is an educational anthropologist and the Interim Chair of the Black Studies Department at The University of Texas at Austin. He is a veteran educator who has published extensively based upon his school and community work. Classes he teaches include “The Promise and Peril of U.S. Public Education,” “Education in Black America” and “Black Studies in the Age of New Media.” Dr. Foster is also the Founding Executive Producer of Blackademics Television, which airs on PBS, and a Trustee on the Austin School Board.
