Become a Speaker

The theme for 2023’s Texas Youth Summit is Win or Learn; thus, we are calling for speakers capable of Educating, Engaging, and Empowering this year’s participants to become change agents that will transform their communities, the State of Texas, the United States of America, and the world as we know it. After 2 years of hosting virtual summits, we are planning on finally being in person on Huston-Tillotson’s campus for our first-ever in-person summit. Speakers will have the opportunity to connect with youth from all over Texas. Speakers will be expected to aid the Texas Youth Summit in the following ways:

Developing the youth’s critical consciousness
Cultivating radical imaginations within a community for growth and healing
Inspire youth to think outside of the box in order to transform their communities into spaces that they will not only live but thrive

Nominate a YAC

Each CYD site nominated a youth to serve as their YAC Rep. The YAC Reps helped plan the Youth Summit by participating in monthly planning calls. They took on leadership roles during the event by introducing speakers and leading the charge to “Unmask Your Potential.”
